Card or single tickets?

In Florence, the real question isn't so much price as time: the queues are notorious. The Firenze Card bundles access to a large number of museums, while single tickets give you more flexibility.

What the card covers

When each option pays off

If you're packing in lots of paid sights over three days, the card saves both money and hassle. If you're only planning to visit the two or three major museums, or staying longer than three days, single tickets come out cheaper. Either way, book a time slot in advance for the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery.

If you're visiting lots of paid museums within 72 hours, it saves money and, more importantly, the hassle of booking each one separately. If you only want to see the two or three big-name sights, or you're staying longer than three days, single tickets usually work out cheaper.
Do I still need to book with the Firenze Card?+
For the Uffizi and the Accademia Gallery, yes - even with the card, you should reserve a time slot, or you'll be queuing regardless. Most other museums just need the card at the door, no advance booking required.
Is public transport included?+
In the current version of the Firenze Card, public transport is no longer automatically included. Since the historic centre is easily walkable, this makes little practical difference.
